Ms Carolyn earned her AMI Montessori 3-6 Primary Diploma in 1997 from the Maria Montessori Institute in London, AMI Montessori 0-3 Assistants to Infancy Diploma in 2020 from the Montessori Institute in Bangalore and Specialist Diploma in Preschool Education in 2004. Shortly after graduating from NUS, she joined the preschool industry and has been in this industry for more than 24 years. Ms Carolyn enjoys working with children and watching them fulfill their potential and bloom in their own time the Montessori way. She is passionate about the Montessori philosophy and endeavors to keep herself refreshed and updated in all things Montessori. She has 3 adult children who had all attended MCH. She spends her free time reading, sewing and gardening.
Ms Corinne graduated with a BA (Economics) from NUS in 1988 and an MBA (UK) in 1989. She has been in administration for a good part of her working life. In 2005, she obtained the Specialist Diploma in Preschool Education and made a career switch to spend more time with her children. Together with Ms Carolyn, she took over MCH in 2005 and has not looked back since. Ms Corinneʼs interest in the Montessori philosophy grew after observing batch after batch of children blossom in the environment. This led her to complete the AMI Montessori 3-6 Assistantʼs Course in 2011. Ms Corinne is into brisk walking and beaded jewellery making.
Ms Maha is a biotechnologist researcher turned educator. She holds an AMI Montessori 3 – 6 Primary Diploma. She also holds a Master of Education degree from the Nanyang Technological University specialising in Curriculum and Teaching. Ms Maha began her career in the education space working at the grassroots level of education inequity back in India. She was into K-12 curriculum design and shifted her focus to early childhood space in 2017. Ms Maha has over 8 years of experience in education space with about 3 years of experience in a Montessori space. She believes that every child is capable and deserves the best. Outside of work she enjoys cooking and Indian classical music.
Lin Laoshi holds a AMI 3-6 Primary Diploma from the Maria Montessori Institute, London. She also holds a Bachelorʼs degree in Psychology from HELP University, Malaysia. She believes in the Montessori approach of allowing the child to learn naturally and happily at his own pace. Lin Laoshi enjoys working with children and watching them grow up gradually. She has over 10 years of experience working in a Montessori environment. She is the mother of two daughters and enjoys heading outdoors with them on weekends.
Miss Ruth has been an early childhood educator for 10 years, working with children from infancy to 6 years old. She holds an AMI Montessori 3-6 Primary Diploma from London and has led Casa and Infant Community environments in Guangzhou, China. In her education career locally, she has taught in an inclusive curriculum and has taught art to children from 2-12 years of age, with a focus on developing creativity and confidence. Miss Ruth believes character development is the foundation from which every child can grow and bloom; she endeavours to work closely with families to build strong foundations. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, capoeira, and any creative art pursuit!
Wu Laoshi was trained in the basics of early childhood education development in 2001. In 2003, she graduated with a Diploma in Preschool Education Teaching (Chinese). Wu Laoshi has been teaching in the preschool education industry for 20 years of which 11 years was spent in MCH. She loves working with children and sees children as the masters of the future. She feels honored to be their supporter, collaborator, and guide at the very beginning of their lives when they are in the stage of self-construction. Being with them makes her happy and contented every day. Wu Laoshi recently obtained the AMI 3-6 Certificate (Chinese).
Wang Laoshi was born and raised in China. She always had an interest in teaching but had no opportunity to pursue a formal education on the subject. It was only in 2008 when she decided to head to Singapore to pursue her interest in pre-school education. Wang Laoshi successfully obtained the Diploma In Early Childhood Teaching-Chinese in 2010. She joined Montessori Children’s House (MCH) at the start of her career and has been here since. Wang Laoshi’s interest in children and the ability to impart knowledge to them keeps her motivated to stay in this career for 12 years. She hopes to be able to inspire more students as she continues in this educational journey. Outside of work, Wang Laoshi is both a devoted wife and mother of 3 children. She also spends her free time experimenting with food as a foodie who tries out different recipes for her family.
